A place at Odin’s table awaits Hans, but no Viking can reach Valhalla without a proper farewell. In order to speed his path towards the hall of heroes, a truly fitting Norse funeral will be held on December 12th at Headless Point. Come feast and pass horns of ale as we trade tales in tribute to the mighty Norse god who touched us all.
Spread the word far and wide! All are welcome to partake when the valkyries come to claim our fallen champion.

The gathering will begin an hour before sunset.
A Viking boat pyre will be built on the beach behind Headless. In the tradition of the Burning Man temple, we will all be able to add our own messages, mementos, and offerings for Hans. At sundown the pyre, bearing a portion of Hans’ ashes, will be lit.
After the burn we will gather indoors for a potluck feast and to tell stories of Hans and share our memories.

Wear your burner finery or whatever inspires you to celebrate this man, but be ready for outdoor winter weather.
THIS IS A LEAVE NO TRACE EVENT.
There are many ways to contribute, be it with a yummy dish (Viking themed or otherwise), meat for the grill, or booze for the bar. Also, volunteers for boat building and clean up are needed!
